Description

Mount Sheba Rainforest Hotel and Resort is located on the Panorama Route, 22 km outside Pilgrim’s Rest, and offers accommodation in an indigenous rainforest. The area is home to Samango monkeys and Knysna turacos, making it ideal for nature lovers.

The hotel has 25 rooms, including 4 sleeper family suites and 2-sleeper king suites, each with a private patio or balcony. The king suites have a king-size bed and a lounge area, while the family suites include a separate bedroom with a queen-size bed and 2 single beds in the living area. All rooms have a fireplace, a TV with selected DStv channels, a bar fridge, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

A fenced-off self-catering house is also available, featuring three bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, the second has a queen-size bed, and the third has two single beds, suited for children. The house has a bathroom with a shower and basin, a separate toilet, and a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, crockery, and cutlery. Free Wi-Fi is available. Guests must enquire about pet policies before bringing a dog.

The resort has 11 accredited walking trails leading to waterfalls and scenic viewpoints. Fly fishing is available at an additional cost, with no catch-and-release permitted.
