Very nice and private, we were not aware of any other people at all. The lodge was clean and tidy. They contacted us early to confirm arrival time and offered to light the bath and fireplace fire. Upon arrival, the lodge was nice and warm and the water almost at temperature.

Great stayover to relax. Not having to waste time going through check-in/out was fantastic. The lodge was beautiful. It was spacious and had everything a person needs for a relaxing holiday. Being able to walk amongst the lovely fynbos was a privilege. Wallowing in the Kolkol heated plunge pool, sipping a wee libation and looking out over the veld into the distance can only be relaxing.

Great stay, beautiful location and Black Eagle Lodges - The Lodge. Lovely combination of mountain views, dam swimming and hot tub relaxing! Off the beaten track and perfect for a relaxing time away from the rush of life! Close enough to Hermanus + Caledon for day trips.
