Thank you for your response. I have replied to LekkeSlaap in an email with comments from my manager and will also reply on your review.
The reason we do not allow visitors is because of my experience of more than 10 years of running guest accommodation businesses. I have learnt that often, when there are visitors, we tend to have problems with complaints from neighbours about noise etc. This may not have been the case with your visitors, however, I prefer to err on the side of caution.
I notice that you did not mention in your review that you booked for 2 guests but also arrived with a child that was not part of the original booking. We did not take umbrage at this and decided to ignore this bit of omitted booking information.
You also failed to mention that you requested to book 2 additional guests for the 24th and 25th of December 2023, which we agreed to. Were these perhaps the 'visitors' you were upset that we did not initially allow?
My manager also disputes your comments about items that were not clean - I will, however, have to accept that we have differences here.
Other than the above, I trust that you at least enjoyed your stay in Plettenberg Bay.
