"We found Malgas to be a linger-longer place, quiet, unassuming, peaceful, but with everything you need to be more than comfortable. We enjoyed beautiful walks with the dogs, swims in the river and long bike rides. There was no light pollution at all so the stars were something of a dream! It’s been years since I saw the Milky Way that bright!"

"Public facilities around the Pond are in very bad condition. Public parks and facilities in a very poor condition. Public toilet in a disgusting condition. Very limited access to the river."

"Nie veel te doen of sien in Malgas nie, veral as die pond nie werk nie. Mense met bote sal seker die rivier goed kan benut. Dis maar droog en vaal in die omgewing in Februarie. Die rivieroewer is wel groen met mooi voëllewe."

"Malgas and the Breede River is an amazing place. The water is safe, quiet and peaceful. Fishing is good. The water skiing and wake-boarding is great as you can always find a protected corner that will be flat. Getting there is tricky. 50 km sand road that will eat your low profile tires on a city car. Best leave your X5 and borrow a Hilux. The people are friendly and down to earth. "
"It's lovely if you bring all you need ie many drinking water, only 1 or 2 shops and restaurants around but I like that. Also not much Wi-Fi if you traveling to work. The cellphone reception is pretty good though. We travelled by boat down the river and made a few phone calls while on the boat and had very little issues with connecting. Great bird life, great fishing, all and all very beautiful place to visit!"
