Great quiet get away.

We enjoyed a "couples" weekend with friends which was a wonderful break away.
We had a very nice stay, however there were problems with the power which meant we didn't have hot water and also no wall plugs to recharge phones or make coffee. Other than that, we had a great time.

Such a "shitty" experience never again.
Caledon Country House - requires maintenance - electrically - the stove plates work; however, to turn the plates on, one requires a pliers. The gas stove had no gas; however, it was refilled the following day, but still did not work. The electrical lights outside did not work, even when the maintenance guy tried to replace the globes. The handyman was wonderful and tried to assist us. On Friday evening, my son-in-law went to the downstairs toilet. Whilst on the toilet, the toilet started to overflow onto the bathroom floor. We had to lay towels down so that it would not flow into the bedroom. Once again, the maintenance guy came out to clean and returned in the morning to try and sort the problem out. The host never spoke to us verbally, only on WhatsApp, which is unprofessional. She offered to return our money for the last night. Totally unprofessional. (She should have found alternative accommodation and requested we consider moving), not tell us to find accommodation and she will refund us.

We haven't had any issues with the toilets before, and we addressed the problem straight away. My staff went after hours to assist.

We had a very relaxing serene stay at Caledon Country House.
The view from the patio is beautiful and very picturesque. The host was polite, friendly and responsive and went beyond her duty of duty to return a laptop cord left behind. We had a great stay and would definitely go back to Caledon Country House if the opportunity presents itself.
