Stunning views, comfy beds, and mood lighting courtesy of one candle. No picture could ever capture the sheer, jaw-dropping, postcard-perfect beauty of this place. It’s like someone took every cozy wood cabin fantasy, sprinkled it with magic dust, and plopped it down in the middle of tranquility itself. It’s quiet. It’s peaceful. It’s the kind of stillness that sneaks into your soul, sets up camp, and refuses to leave. Pros: Easy to get to. Staff so friendly they might adopt you. Beds so comfy you’ll consider staying forever. Plenty of space for all your overpacking tendencies. Kitchen stocked like a gourmet chef’s dream. Surprisingly excellent sound quality, like an old library. Cons: Ambient lighting? Never heard of it. Instead, prepare for interrogation-level blinding white light so intense it attracted every bug in a 10-mile radius. We spent the weekend romantically squinting by candlelight. The shower temperature was a thrilling game of “scalding or hypothermia?” Despite a team effort, four grown adults failed to master the controls. Fridge space was about as generous as a hotel minibar, not ideal for a weekend’s worth of snacks and drinks for four people. General notes (not necessarily cons, but good to know): No regular plugs—just two lonely USB ports. Charge wisely. Hiking signage was a bit vague. But, in the end, all roads somehow led back to the cabins, so no permanent losses were recorded.

Great place to unwind, have fun in the sun, bring your floaties! The area is beautiful and was all we wanted - quiet, nature, time to reflect before the year starts. However, the cabin is very basic - no electricity points, only 2 USB ports that can't sufficiently charge a phone even if left overnight. So come geared with a couple of power banks. The fridge space is super limited; don't know how you will manage if you're 4 people. Bring an extra cooler with ice that can double up as a fridge. The gas oven didn't work and the shower is either scalding or freezing no matter how much we fiddled according to the instructions. I was very glad my son was not with us because you absolutely cannot put a child into that water - they will burn (or freeze). Lovely all in all, but some things needed to be communicated better up front.
