Mooi uitsig oor Houtbaai. Ons het heerlik gebly by Hout & About. Die sakpas kamer was die enigste kamer beskikbaar, want daar het ook 'n toergroep gebly dieselfde tyd as ons. Die kamertjie is bietjie knap vir 2 mense, maar sal ideaal wees vir 'n enkelpersoon wat net daar slaap. Niks fout met die netheid van die blyplek nie. Die ontbyt was werklik uitstekend. Die ligging is perfek as jy die omgewing rondom Houtbaai en Chappies wil besigtig.

Baie lekker gebly. Baie skoon en netjies. Pragtige uitsig en kamers is lekker privaat. Daar is 'n lekker sitkamer met 'n kaggel en jy kan koffie maak soos jy wil. Die eienaar is 'n wonderlike gasheer. Ek sal enige tyd weer daar gaan oornag.

Verblyf het voldoen aan verwagtinge. 5 ster. Kamer was baie gerieflik. Alle fasiliteite het voldoen aan verwagting en meer. Elke oggend bederf met 'n heerlike ontbyt. Die gasheer en personeel was uiters vriendelik en behulpsaam. Die motorparkering op die skuinste was egter ongerieflik.

Get out and look about for alternative accommodation. When we arrived at ‘Hout and About’ we were met by the establishment’s friendly assistant who helped us to park our vehicle. Unfortunately, we had to leave our vehicle on the road’s verge, which is never a good idea when one is driving a hired vehicle. When we telephoned, we were informed that the accommodation enjoyed on-site parking. This was an untruth. We were escorted to a rather small room, which disappointingly was located at the back of the large house that looked out onto a wall that lay one metre away. No matter how well represented, no large mirror is going to negate the fact that I found our accommodation especially pokey and claustrophobic. The owners should turn this room back into a storeroom. Presently, it will only generate bad reviews. This is what happens when owners over-exploit their homes to generate maximum revenue at the expense of their guests. The room was perfectly clean, tastefully decorated and the bed was comfortable. The house enjoys spectacular views over the town, the mountains and the sea, that we could only enjoy from the deck and the large sitting/dining room. The owner/s never presented themselves all the time we were there and left the management to the assistant and his wife who were also tasked with preparing the breakfasts. When we arrived in the morning for our breakfast, it had already been laid out, and having been left unattended, several flies had settled on the food and were buzzing around. I was occupied in waving them off the food and subsequently did not eat any of the food, choosing to order a cooked breakfast. The owners should be aware that it takes a female fly only one minute to lay a full cluster of eggs. One should take a clue from the establishment's name – that is, get out and look about for alternative accommodation.

Great views with everything I needed. Had all the necessary comforts in the room, although the room was quite small - but perfect for one. The common areas (terraces, pool, lounge, and dining areas) are beautiful, spacious, and with great views. The breakfast was delicious and ample with good coffee - always a win!

My go to place when I am in Cape Town. Amazing place with amazing staff. The view of the ocean paired with a peaceful stay makes this the perfect place to stay during Cape Town visits.

Memorable! Traveling with my wife just for one night. We felt immediately at home and relaxed. The rooms are private, comfortable and quiet. The bed is very comfortable. Lovely view over Hout Bay. Breakfast was exceptional. Will definitely return.
