Good location, poor maintenance. The shower broke twice, but the owner fixed it immediately. The cottage was smaller than expected and had a bad smell every afternoon when we opened it. The toilet leaked but was fixed by the owner as well, immediately. The place was near the shopping centre and there was a beach very near to the cottage, which was a bonus.

Hi Alisia, Thank you for the valuable feedback. Both the shower and toilet seemed fine during inspection prior to your arrival. The shower head only broke a day or so after you checked in and then again, a day or so later, and the toilet screw fastening the water cistern to the toilet broke about a week into your stay. Luckily, we had spares and could fix it immediately when brought under our attention. We had a lot of rain prior to and during your stay, and the damp weather and high humidity are unfortunately then a problem.

A bit uncomfortable for 4 people. The beach cottage is lovely for two people but a bit too cramped for four people. There is not enough cupboard space for the two other people, and there is no lock on the bedroom door for privacy. The gas geyser was also a problem as there was no cold water in the shower, so on hot days when you wanted to take a cool shower, you could not do this. The owners were very friendly and very helpful when there was a problem to be sorted out, but I would not recommend this place to a family of 3 or 4. The couch was also very uncomfortable.

It was okay. There was a smell in the cottage of either damp or wet wood. Very small.

Hi Peter, Thank you for the valuable feedback. All our cottages are equipped and suitable for up to 4 guests - ideal for a family with small kids. We had a lot of rain prior to and during your stay, and the damp weather and high humidity is unfortunately then a problem.

It was ok. Too far from the beach; have to go by car to the nearest beach. No sea view. Plants are overgrown.

Beach Wood Cottages

Hi Mirinda, Thank you for the valuable feedback. We hosted you in our Tree Top Cottage, one of the few that does actually have lovely sea and lagoon views right onto St Michael's main swimming beach from the front door deck. All our guests normally comment on the peaceful surroundings, lovely garden, and central location to beaches, shops, and other amenities. We are a short 1.4 km (10 min walk) from the main swimming beach, and Jessica and I walk down to the beach often.
