"Beautiful quirky town with historial significance and lots of interesting places to visit. Absolute recommend to anyone in a heartbeat. Only one negative, the road at the top of the pass, a mere 2 km from town, towards Doornberg and other farms had a garbage dump located there with plastic strewn far and wide across the craggy mountainside and across the stunning vistas. Bear in mind that unless you are a tourist specifically travelling out that way, you wouldn't know about this. Could be managed better by the town."
"Beautiful and interesting town. The NG church is magnificent. The Owl House is definitely worth a visit, as well as the Kitching Fossil Centre. The restaurants are lovely and the brewery also worth a visit. Friendly people, very quaint and picturesque town. Would love to go back for longer next time"

"Dit was ons derde verblyf in Nieu-Bethesda en was weer net so aangenaam soos altyd. Die dorp en sy mense is besonders en die "festival of lights"-optog deur die dorp op Oujaarsaand sal ons baie graag weer wil meedoen."

"Voorwaar 'n juweeldorpie wat besoekers gerus na toe kan afdraai en gaan kuier. Ons het 'n ekstra dag daar spandeer en dit was die moeite werd. Ons wense vir Nieu Bethesda is dat hulle al hoe meer besoekers sal kry wat hulle dorpie geniet. Dis pragtig, rustig, skoon met vriendelike mense."

"Eastern Cape tourism is highly underrated in this area as well as the next town Graaff Reinet. What a truly clean and spectacular part of the country. The most friendly people wherever we went. Great experience at the both the owl house and the fossil centre. More people need to visit this town."
"Dit is 'n baie oulike dorpie met baie besienswaardigede, soos die uil huis, fossiel uitstalling, pragtige kuns uitstallings asook baie lekker eetplekke. Die paaie is ook nie te sleg nie alhoewel daar wel potholes is."

"Nieu-Bethesda is een van my gunsteling dorpe in die land. Die rustige atmosfeer van die dorp is werklik 'n lafenis vir die siel. Die Uilhuis is 'n unieke ervaring en kan werklik aanbeveel word. Ek stap graag deur die dorp om 'n gevoel van die platteland te kry en was nog nooit teleurgestel deur die vriendelikhed van die inwoners nie. As jy nog nooit in Nieu-Bethesda was nie, is dit jou verlies. Maak gerus daar 'n draai."
